Broth Italiano

Want the taste of Italy at home? This broth Italiano will do the trick.

Ingredients

  • 1/8 c. vermicelli, broken
  • 1 c. broth
  • 1 oz. thinly sliced prosciutto, shredded
  • 1/8 t. garlic powder
  • 1/8 t. marjoram
  • 1 T. Parmesan cheese, grated

t. = teaspoon, T. = Tablespoon, c. = cup

 

Instructions

  1. Cook vermicelli in boiling salted water; drain and rinse.
  2. Bring broth to boil. Add prosciutto, garlic powder, and marjoram.
  3. Simmer 5 minutes.Add vermicelli. Pour into bowl.
  4. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.

Yields 1 1/4 cups
