Did somebody say fancy breakfast but low in calories? How about french style eggs without the calories and carbs.
Ingredients
- 1 T. butter
- 3 T. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. 2% milk
- 1/2 t. paprika
- 1/4 t. salt
- dash black pepper, freshly ground
- 6 hard-cooked eggs
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs, finely ground
- vegetable oil for deep-fat frying
- 1/2 c. Quick Tomato Sauce
t. = teaspoon, T. = Tablespoon, c. = cup
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan; blend in the flour.
- Add milk and seasonings. Cook over low heat until sauce thickens, stirring constantly.
- Dip eggs in the sauce; cool eggs and roll in bread crumbs.
- Heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Fry eggs until brown.
- Serve hot with the tomato sauce.
