Delicious fried fruit turnovers fit for anyone attemping to lose weight. Did we mention this was delicious?
Ingredient
- 2 tablespoon cold butter
- 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 tablespoon hot skim milk
- 9 tablespoon pureed baby food fruit
Instructions
- Cut butter into flour.
- Blend egg yolk and milk together; then add to flour mixture.
- Knead well to make a smooth dough. Roll out to %a in. (4 mm) thickness. Cut into six pastry rounds.
- Place 1′/z T. (21 mL) of pureed fruit in center of each round.
- Fold over turnover-style and seal or pinch edges securely. Fry in hot fat at 365°F (180°C) until brown.
