This quick homemade cereal diet recipe is low in calories.
Ingredients
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 1 c. wheat germ
- 1/3 c. unsweetened coconut, shredded
- 1/2 c. brown sugar replacement
- 1/4 c. low-calorie margarine, melted
- 2 T. liquid fructose
- 2 T. water
- 1/4 t. salt
t. = teaspoon, T. = Tablespoon, c. = cup
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl; stir and fold to blend thoroughly.
- Spread mixture on a cookie sheet.
- Bake at 325°F (165°C) for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring or shaking pan occasionally to allow for even toasting of the cereal.
- Cool and store in a tightly sealed container.
- Cereal may be kept in the refrigerator, freezer, or on a kitchen shelf.
