Stuffed Prunes

Delicious stuffed prunes that are easy to make and easy on the belly.

Ingredients

  • 30 med dried prunes
  • 30 halves English walnuts

t. = teaspoon, T. = Tablespoon, c. = cup

 

Instructions

  1. Wash prunes and soak overnight in water.
  2. Cook in the same water until prunes are semisoft but do not overcook.
  3. Drain thoroughly over a bowl. (You can refrigerate and use this liquid to sweeten other dishes or chill and serve it as a beverage.)
  4. Remove stones from prunes.
  5. Place a half walnut in the caviry of each prune.
  6. Set on a rack and allow to dry slightly. Store in the refrigerator.

Yields 30 snacks
