Is there anything sweeter than sweet ham steak? Only if it is low in calories which this diet recipe is.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ham steak
- 1 t. white wine vinegar
- 1 T. granulated brown sugar replacement
- 1 c. water, boiling
- 1/4 c. cream sherry
t. = teaspoon, T. = Tablespoon, c. = cup
Instructions
- Rub both sides of the ham steak with vinegar and sprinkle with brown sugar replacement.
- Allow to stand for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Spray a nonstick skillet with vegetable cooking spray Brown ham on both sides. Add the boiling water and sherry.
- Cook slowly, uncovered, until liquid has almost evaporated and ham is tender.
