Delicious tomato beef bouillon is sure to keep those calories and carbs in check.
Ingredients
- 2 T. margarine
- 1/4 c. onion, chopped
- 46 oz. tomato juice
- 2 cans beef broth or
- 2 1/2 c. beef broth
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 t. salt
- 1/2 t. pepper
t. = teaspoon, T. = Tablespoon, c. = cup
Instructions
- Heat margarine in large saucepan.
- Add onion and cook until tender.
- Add tomato juice, beef broth (canned or homemade), bay leaf, salt, and pepper; beat thoroughly. Do not boil.
- Remove bay leaf. Ladle into warm bowls.
Yields 8 servings, 1 cup each
