Wheat Germ Granola

Something different for breakfast? Try this wheat germ granola diet recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 c. old-fashioned oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 c. wheat germ
  • 1/2 c. almonds, chopped
  • 1/3 c. sesame seeds
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/3 c. dietetic maple syrup
  • 1 c. raisins

t. = teaspoon, T. = Tablespoon, c. = cup

 

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except raisins, mixing well.
  2. Spread mixture evenly in a large shallow pan.
  3. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until lightly toasted.
  4. Stir in the raisins. Cool completely Store covered in a refrigerator.

Yields 6 1/2 cups
