Something different for breakfast? Try this wheat germ granola diet recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 c. old-fashioned oatmeal
- 1 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/2 c. almonds, chopped
- 1/3 c. sesame seeds
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1/3 c. dietetic maple syrup
- 1 c. raisins
t. = teaspoon, T. = Tablespoon, c. = cup
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except raisins, mixing well.
- Spread mixture evenly in a large shallow pan.
- Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until lightly toasted.
- Stir in the raisins. Cool completely Store covered in a refrigerator.
Yields 6 1/2 cups
